Qualifications and Experience
Tom Scroggin is the owner of Advanced Quality.
During the past 25-years in the field of Quality, he has received several Quality-Profession certifications from ASQ (CQT, CQE, CQA and CQM), ASNT Level -III and RAB and IRCA Lead Auditor for Quality Systems. For the past 15-years, he has been an ISO, AS and EMS Lead Auditor certified by RAB, IRCA and IATCA. In addition to these certifications, he holds a BS degree in Management, AS degree in Quality and Metallurgy and obtained a TQM Professional Designation from UCLA and graduated from UCLA’s International Business and Commerce program.
Over the course of his career, he has worked in the aerospace, automotive, electronics and telecommunications as well as other industries. In 1995, he was a Malcolm Baldridge Nation Quality Program Examiner for the State of California. As an ISO and AS9100 auditor, Tom contracts to several registrars as a Lead Auditor, an AIEA Aerospace Auditor and an Environmental Auditor. Tom is a Skills Examiner and a certified Business Improvement Auditor.
Tom’s aerospace experience includes working for Garrett AiResearch as a Quality Engineer and NDT Level III, 3-years. Director of Quality for Fairchild Fastener for 6-years. Several aerospace positions working as Quality Director, auditor, inspector and NDT Level III. Tom has also consulted to aerospace companies for the past 10-years.
Tom volunteers his time to the Envision program in Washington DC to teach business in China to American college students. He also works with the local high school as an advisor and speaker on business.
